Default problem on GPRS
Hi,

There is a problem on GPRS - I can't access mtnsp.co.za or callquest from my GPRS connection, but I can from my ADSL connection.

My number is <deleted by="ic" reason="personal details revealed"/> - for reference - but please contact me via email and not phone - <deleted by="ic" reason="personal details revealed"/>.

This was a problem in the past as well?

At the same time that callquest became unavailable via GPRS again, I also couldn't connect to SETI@Home BOINC, even though other routes are working fine. I even tried going through different proxy servers, but no dice. Interestingly enough, it was just SETI@Home that gave problems, I could connect to the schedulers for the other projects.

True, but that doesn't explain why I can connect via Telkom or M-Web but not GPRS ..... <grin>

SETI had downtime on the 29th but my other 4 machines started chatting regularly again on the 30th, however my laptop which connects via GPRS most of the time, couldn't for the life of it. I had to use normal dial-up to get new work units later today. When I got home a while ago, tested it ... no connect via GPRS, immediate via ADSL.

IC - how do you explain not being able to access mtnsp.co.za. /callquest.

The internal secure sites are a special case because they require special routing. I did follow up on PM with this to say that we did test it and it appeared to be working so I requested this be retried and asked for specific location information we would need to de-bug
