Mtn bb to vodacom bb

Hey.
I got a curve from my mother-in-law because my bold is giving me problems. I'm getting connection errors when I try to set up BIS. I'm with Vodacom but she is from MTN. Could it be that the curve is locked? If so, can it be bypassed somehow?

lol for a few seconds I was like whaaat?! a curve from mother in law. I think like warnings on cigraette packs we need them here too *wink*.

It shouldn't be locked. They are not allowed to lock phones to a net work anymore. My mom had a BlackBerry on Vodacom and gave it to my friend on MTN. Check internet settings and change that to Vodacom or something. Did that and works fine
