MTN Billing charges???

So I upgraded on 2/2/2009 and changed my package to Anytime 500. I checked my MTN Active just now for my balance due (seeing as my statement is lost in the post again) and almost fell off the chair. I understand that my previous package would be charged up to and including 11/2 (my statement date) when my new package kicks in. Surely then I would only be billed for the new package on 11/3. They're charging me an additional R510 on top of my Procall 120 package - is that correct?

Watch out for MTN, I ported to Vodacom and the debited my account 2 months after the porting had taken place. I am over R2000.00 out of pocket, I have been promised refunds but it is now six months. If I dont get my money by the 3rd I guess a Summons will be the order of the day...
