MTN BIS speeds

Does anyone know what the theoretical sppeds are for MTN BIS 3G, EDGE and GPRS. The reason I ask is the sppeds are so unstable, I have no idea what it should be. I used the spped test app but the sppeds are all over the place?

I usually get 15kbps Max on EDGE (maximum 25kbps) (I'm using browser measurements in bytes, not the speed app).
On 3G I usually get around 140kbps (up to 200kpbs). I've never experienced gprs on MTN... Ever.

Oh mine jumps between all three constantly!

For most of the day it's quite stable for me.
