MTN Black Friday Specials

I missed out on the MTN 240 GB deal. Their system didn't work apparently when I wanted to apply. I then decided that my wife should apply of which she did. When the delivery day came they had 2 sim cards. Upon inquiry about that, MTN said my wife had signed up for 2 contracts with them and these contracts are not the 240 GB deal, it was some 30gb 36 month deal. We cancelled the application as advised by MTN, I guess they couldn't fix their mess.
Today I just applied for the 160gb Telkom and I will see how that goes.
 
I got the mtn 240gb deal but im not sure what modem works. i have the old RAIN oneB618s-22d and the telkom one. both seem to only connect to 3G but cant browse or anything. Is the modem the issue?
 
Anyone get there night data to work properly from last year's Black Friday deal?

ok. it was a RICA issue. Dont know how come since the courier took all the required stuff on delivery. Anyhoo, all working now
 
Their xmas special. Will be hard pressed to say no on this one.Will sit on it and decide on Monday. I paid up my other MTN DATA contract last week up to feb 2022, it is due for renewal in march will check what the cancellation fee will be and go from there.

Mofos still want R1128 to cancel the contract that expires in march, While I have a credit of R700+ it would have required to pay in 400 to cancel, the prorate and all the hassle to cancel and shite.



BTW the rententions informed me they a have service called Mtn mychoice zero, where they essentially downgrade your contract to having to pay zero and keep it active till you ready to upgrade whenever.
This is a cool deal but R400 rand loss isn't worth it.
