MTN Blackberry on vodacom network

hi

I got a BB Bold today from MTN one of the other phones contracts expired, however now i have a MTN BB with MTN branding and MTn has registered the PIN.

Now I want to use this phone with the Vodacom network and BB service.

It works with the vodacome sim card, its just the BIS service ect.

How would i go about setting this up.

is there a way to get Vodacom to deregister a phone from their network and get MTN to register it on their network?
 
You need to contact Vodacom on 082155 and tell the consultant to deregister the device from BIS for you.

They will require the device pin -> Options - Status and give them the pin number and using this can deregister the device from Vodacom's master BIS profile.

Once this is done , simply goto http://mtn.blackberry.com/ and setup an account there , you will be asked for device pin & imei to validate (this will validate against RIM's master database) so what it means is that no 2 carriers can have you registered on RIM's network at the same time.

Once Vodacom says that they have removed your BIS profile please be aware that it can take upto 1 day to be entirely removed.

PM me with all the device details ie pin & imei if you do not come right , do NOT pm me without going through the channels mentioned above (unless they make a mistake in helping you)

hey guys!

I just got a new Storm II unlocked(9550) from the US. Have problems setting up the BIS on the prepaid. Anyone faced similar issues, getting a BB from overseas.
