Ok my brother is on contract with a Nokia E75. We all know you can't buy data bundles on contract, so he spoke to the callcentre to load him 10mb p/m. He thought this would only cost R10, to find on his statement that this costs R0.00 he still pays the same contract amount. How can this be? Does it mean you can even subscribe for a higher cap like 100mb/500mb and still not pay?

Its most likely a mistake .. .

I had a 350Meg service which I got billed for .. then after cancelling it .. It still shows on my statement.. with no cost .. and I still get allocated it .. and I use it .. and I dont get charged .. (but dont tell anyone ;) )

MTN's Data billing is poor .. so its probably a system error .. and he should keep quiet and get something for free from a company that will bleed you at every opportunity.

+1 jetlee. Like Monopoly: "Bank error in your favourm. Collect R200"

If they make a mistake, and you have to pay, it's like getting blood out of a stone to get them to reimburse you. Enjoy the fact that the error is in your favour- it won't last forver...

I will be checking back here for when MTN sends you guys their infamous "unbilled" data invoices which the other guys in the MTN thread are complaining about. :-)
