MTN contract upgrade (no new SIM)

Hi

I want to change my contract. I am happy with my phone and I have a working SIM card. the app wants to deliver me a new SIM card. surely I can change my contract without getting a new SIM? I just dont know how to do it. Has anyone got advice? I'm on MTN and my work schedule makes getting to an MTN store quite difficult.

MTN usually gives you a new sim when you upgrade. As a contract client you are also entitled to one replacement sim during the contract. Well used to be the case years back when I was on a contract.

they send a new sim just in case you have an old outdated one , you do not need to do sim swap if you don't need one
