Hi all,
First of all apologies - this isn't really a broadband issue - just cellular. But I couldn't find a better place on the forums to put it.
The time has come to upgrade an MTN contract, but I have picked up on a couple of issues:
1) The new contract prices seem to be way more than the old ones. Unless you are looking at one of the very big contracts they all work out to well over R2/min
2) Any quote I get from MTN, irrespective of contract size, seems to be the basic contract price + R120 for the phone. Does this mean that they don't subsidise phones for contract customers anymore? What happened to the days when the bigger the contract you subscribed to, the better phone you could get?
Has anyone looked into this? Does anybody know of any reason I shouldn't just port to Vodacom (or CellC) (except for the possibility that they are just as bad)
Cheers
Nips
