MTN Contract waiting time

Just a quick one, I discovered I could not get the Nexus here....so, decided to go for a second MTN contract so I could get my tab.

I applied on Thursday, and am still waiting on an answer.....I would like to get this thing sorted out asap. Is it normal for this kinda thing to take so long? When I bought my car I was approved in 30 minutes, but 3 days, going on 4 for a cell contract? Seems kinda excessive. Wondering if I shouldn't just cancel and get a deal through my bank instead.

Yeah they do take that long to let you know but its has most likely already been approved or declined....

I applied for a lumia 820 in the begining of this year. Never ever heard back from MTN and only recently found out the contract has been approved but they never phoned me to arrange delivery and finalize the deal....

Now I need to cancel that application first before applying again....

Am an existing MTN contract holder, applied online for a second contract and received confirmation e-mail with reference. Haven't heard anything so called and lo and behold they cannot trace the application...even with the application reference. Awaiting a call back from a 'supervisor'.
