MTN Coverage in Wapadrand

Hi all...

So I contacted MTN because I'm getting EDGE only at my place, yet LTE in a Spar 700m down the road...and their coverage map says I should be getting LTE at my address.

Got this reply:

Y'ello!

The sites that the number ########## is logging on to, are only enabled for 2G services.
You will not be able to access 3G or LTE

Now I'm wondering what that means..."only enabled for 2G"... does it mean I am screwed for higher data speeds?

Looks like you're going shopping for a suitable antenna. Or you can escalate the issue, MTN provided me with a suitable solution - for mahala - when I had a poor data signal.

I'm on the other side of the hill in Faerie Glen and all I can get is edge on my cell but I get LTE but only one bar on my router.

With Telkom I get 3 bars on my router.

When my contact is up so will MTN be upupupandaway.
