MTN Data billing strangeness

I use MTN data via a B970 wireless router.

I normally have a 2GB data bundle but recently MTN made a balls up and cancelled the bundle. Surprisingly my data costs dropped dramatically when I was charged at just the out of bundle rates. This surprised me as I use at least 2Gb per month.

Looking at my data bill on MTN Active it is not clear what the units of measurement are. Under the Volume/Duration column there is no specification of what the numbers are (bits/Bytes?). When I total this column I get 3,900,000,000 of usage which I assumed was 3.9 GB of usage yet on the bill total it says 377 units/Bytes and charges me R123.62 (out of bundle rate).

What am I missing?
thanks

Assuming that MTN are at fault here. How far back are they legally allowed to look at old bills that were incorrect and demand payment in retrospect? This issue seems to have been going on for a couple of years on my account...and I don't want to suddenly get a monster bill going back years...

The normally it would be 3 years from the date you were billed But this is not applicable because you have paid the bill in full so they would have to admit that their billing system are flawed (something most customers knows already) and then you can query all billing that they have done for the last 3 years They can not proof that their data is 100% because they have already admitted fault: catch 22
