For everyone else, use the connection logger. I do daily. It's just my personal advice. I find it to be 100% accurate and you can print monthly reports on it. Very nice little programe. Well worth $15.00
I appreciate you advice about using a data logger, I do. My connection software comes with a very accurate one and the modem/phone has one too --and they concur. Despite this the MTN system disagrees on a regular basis.

The REAL issue here is that MTN does not listen so what's the point of telling anyone there what your fancy logger says?????????????????

I have been promised now 10 times that someone will call back and they never did (including today). I've been hung up on some 7 times or so. The clear impression from MTN is they do not care.

You are arguing - though not very well or from a solid base. In fact I must say, you are reflecting very well the attitude of MTN .. read into that what you will:rolleyes:

Prepaid has changed. It gives you nothing extra. In fact it is a complete mess because it disconnects you before your time is up and then shows a nil balance until an hour or more later when you suddenly get a few rand in your account. Then you use that until it disconnects and says you have nil. Then you check again and you have a little left. How stupid is that?!

If contract is using the same system ... then I'll make it simple. It's stuffed. Fix it.
{We need to band together here and write a joint letter. MTN is just not listening. Bad doggy, wack! Owww..owwww..owwoooo :D}

I didn't know they fixed the Pre-paid thing.

Ok so what your saying is since the fix it now disconnects you before the actual amount of bundle has been depleted ?
If so I can have it investigated. That is the reason I was asking the above question.

Pls note guys. I'm on here in my personal capacity. Snakepit and myself are not MTN reps and we've made mention of that plenty of times. We're here to assist. Now if you're saying that the Unlimmited access on Pre-paid was fixed but created another problem. Then I'll forward it to Pre-paid to investigate ;)

Where am I making this personal?

If you're doing your best, you would have answered the age old question, which has now been asked quite a few times, what does MTN intend on deducintg from my acount on the 7th?

Yes, I'm aware you're ONLY passing credit of R200.47, you've repeated that multiple times. Except thats not what I asked, I asked, what does MTN intend on debiting from my account on the 7th, and if they do intend taking R1 315.64 on the 7th, are they going to provide me with credit card interest rates on the R200.47, which isn't theirs?

Andre is confimring that with banking.

We need to establish if the debit order extraction was done already or not.
I can't go on record and confirm an amount i have no clarity on.

1. I would assume that if the extraction wasn't done yet, it would be your invoice amount - R 200.47.

2. If the extraction was sent already it would be the amount on your invoice and the credit allocated to your next inv.

Now if you'd be a little patient we'll have that answer for you.

If this is the case, we have a problem, as I stated, I'm not MTN's credit provider. I will instruct the bank to return payment. I'll happily transfer the amount owed manually. Please inform Andre of this. His responses on hellopeter are all but usefull.

Now if you'd be a little patient we'll have that answer for you.

If you had told me MTN was looking into this, and will get back to me by a certain time, I'd wait until then, but both yourself and Andre have said the complaint is resolved, even after repeatedly asking the above question (2x on hellopeter, 2x via email and I think 2x here), so thats 6 times and no answer.

Just confirmed.

Extraction was not done yet. only on the 05/10/2007. So it will be your Invoice amount - R 200.47

This was from banking directly.

Thank you. - I'll assume you meant 5/11/2007.

As for the other issue of the outstanding amount owed, I have spoken to ICASA, and it is now in their hands.
