MTN Data bundles

How does one top up. I have a galaxy tab and want to have some data. I have a mtn200 contract with mtnsp. Is there a number you call? Also how can I make it so that I get data automatically every month? Sorry I'm a noob with these things

You need to register with MTN Active,
https://active.mtn.co.za/mtnsc/
Then you Manage it within your Services and add a data bundle etc.

Thanks. I see the data is ad-hoc? Does that mean you "activate" it every month or is this a one time "activate" that continues automatically every month?

I think it's just data, as is. I doubt you need to activate it every month.

there are two types adhoc (once-off) and a monthly service

aD Hoc and once off bundles.

Ad Hoc means you load it once off. Recurring means it will appear every month on your bill run date until you cancel it yourself.

If you want to know what your bill run date is look on your invoice from when to when you get billed i.e. I get billed from the 12th (bill run date) to the 11th of every month.

In the services list I only see ad-hoc data. Is there another description elsewhere?
