MTN Data Card Technical Queries

You were charged what R350 for the antenna that plugs into your data card that’s not correct they should have charged R170 at the most,

Could you please advise via PM the dealer’s name and contact details as well as your name, surname and cell phone number.

I was just charged R350 at the MTN store in Sediba Plaza in Hartebeestpoortdam. I had to have it, so I paid.

Amazingly, this was the umpteenth store where I enquired in Gauteng, including huge shopping centres. Nobody had even heard of the antenna, except here in the sticks, where they just pluck it fromthe shelf. And overcharge.

R350 is a lot to pay for this antenna but I guess if you needed it then I don't blame you for paying it. If you like you can PM me the name of the dealer and the contact details and I'll forward it on to the channel manager to take it up for you

Virgin SIM and MTN Data Card?

I have posted this question somewhere else on the forum already, but getting no responses.

Most people seem to be using VM SIMs with a phone OK. Can I buy a Virgin SIM and use it with an MTN data card (on contract)?

Ok,

You can use a prepaid VM sim in a MTN data card and you can use a contract VM sim on the MTN data card

Thanx for the link MTNDD. I emailed their sales department and got this reply:

Thank you for your interest in our products.

With regards to your request we do have a cable for the Huawei card.

CAB-038 (30cm RG174 SMA f to Huawei ) is R175.00 excluding VAT.

Please note that the cable has got SMA f on one side, so you just need to make sure that the antenna that you are connecting it to has got SMA m.

I have extremely limited stock available so if you need 1 or 10 place your order quickly.
