MTN Data issues

For the last few days, I've been experiencing terrible connection on 3G. I use my Nokia E71 as a modem. I connect, browse for a few minutes, and then all of the sudden, there's just no throughput. It's still connected, but I can't do anything. I have to disconnect and reconnect again. Sometimes I can browse for upto an hour without incident, but since Monday, I need to sometimes disconnect after just a minute!!! :mad::mad:

I get the same problem on both my Win7 PC and my Mac, so I doubt it's computer related.

Anyone else experiencing the same problem?
 
May be very localised. I've been online heavily through MTN for the past 48 hours, downloading streaming audio, and the connection has been fine, no interruptions.

Interestingly, NetMeter shows I downloaded 170 MB yesterday. MTN's 'finally fixed' data counter says 26 MB! Sigh....
 
THX Terence! Yeah, I've noticed the same on the data counter. In fact, I got billed again this month for data usage in September. Useless idiots!!
 
Had similar problems. Dont know if its coverage related or not.
On the billing. I had a 500mb bundle. Downloaded 20 songs. Got aroung 470mb left. Thats was 2 weeks ago.
Atleast they not charging us for their incompetence.

You will get a BIG surprise when you get your bill. Perhaps not this month. Eventually you will be billed "Out of Bundle" Believe you me.
 
Same issue here for the past few days! I thought it would fix itself out by now. It's getting a bit much now. Having to reconnect every 10 min. Any reason for this MTN?
 
mtn data bundles

howzit guys

wonder who can help me

have a mtn 3g contract

according to mtn active i have 3.5gb left over
and 2gb was carried over
but how do i use it?
cause last month i reached by billed limit and my service got suspended
how is this possible if i have 2gb carried over and 3.5gb remainding?

also how do i update my mtn faslink software? when i go to online update it says failed to download some files

all help wil be appreciated
