Anyone using a South African sim for data roaming deserves whatever he/she gets, including a horrendous bill.

I was in Nigeria recently and knew full well the data rates etc.... and used Data, I am not complaining as i knew upfront the costs.

However i have been looking into things a bit - if you are on a SA mtn contract and you use data in Nigeria they bill you R104 mb, if you are a mtn Nigeria customer and you use data in SA they will bill you about R31/mb. ???? - i wonder how the same company can justify the differences ??

By the way, if you are a mtn nigerian customer and you use data in nigeria it is about R8/mb.

To me it seems a nice way for the same company to subsidies its external operations and avoid paying tax on profits locally.
