yesterday I phoned in to ask if i can get a databundle on my phone.

They loaded the 2 gig I requested and when I check it it says 2G data bundle.

I wanted a databundle cause my phone can handle hsdpa and now I can only surf with edge.

They should really tell you about this as the terms and conditions on mtnsp isn't there. If you click it, its not found.

1) Make sure that the 3G/HSPA/UMTS settings in the phone are activated.
2) Make sure that the mobile signal towers in your area support 3G/HSPA/etc

I'm sure one of these aren't...fulfilled (for lack of a better word) ?

The 2G you are seeing stands for 2Gig bundle, not the speeds you are entitled to. If the phone picks up HSDPA, it will use HSDPA.

Doesn't ur sim card have to be those 3g sim cards that you buy for R180 where they provision your sim for HSDPA access? I had to sign those forms 2 years ago when I got my contract to enable to me for that.

when I go to *162# it says GPRS 2G databundle
MTN don't have different data bundles for GPRS, EDGE, 3G or HSDPA. A data bundle is a data bundle and you can use whatever technology your phone and your signal coverage have in common.

No, you got ripped off.
