One thing that breaks my heart is when MTN’s 3G starts getting the hiccups!
Ever since last week my connection drops intermittently and today was the worst of all! No 3G/HSDPA signal and then a very weak and utterly inconsistent EDGE/GPRS SIGNAL…
I can’t download email and can’t browse for more than a few minutes… It takes forever to connect and forever do disconnect…
Is MTN *upgrading* their 3G network again???
Why must we be satisfied with a *best effort* service? Why must I guarantee payment every month but MTN cannot guarantee a stable and always on service!!!
Why why why!!!!
There’s nothing I can do… All I can do is to come and shout here and hope to get some help!!!
Let me quickly tell you a story…
I got my yellow 3G/HSDPA card on 18 May 2006. Last Friday the girl from the Centurion shop calls me and tells me that I didn’t pay the R269 for the card when I took out the contract. How in the world did I get the card without paying? Well somebody slipped up including me because I cant find any proof or even my copy of the contract because I filed it somewhere and now it’s lost and that’s why I then went and paid it in good faith… (But beware if I find that slip!) So she then tells me that MTN is furious and then kindly asks me to come and pay the money, which I did the same afternoon! Do you hear that MTN??? The SAME AFTERNOON!!! Problem settled!
MTN shouted and I jumped! I had to go to their shop with my car and my petrol in my time and even pay parking to fix their mess… But I did it, because I should’ve paid it… Now, why can’t I get a service equal to my payment loyalty??????? Don’t answer, I know you don’t care!!! I suppose the PR department won’t even see this post!
Now listen to me MTN! When you want your money you give us no options but to pay or else the BIG ‘YELLOW DEVIL will suspend your service and blacklist you!!!
But what can we do??? Nothing…. We must just pay pay pay!!!
I must pay you and I do every month! Never missed 1 single cent of a payment! Not on one of my 2 contracts with you that costs me R1082.00 per month have I ever missed a single payment!!! Not one of my 3 contracts with Vodacom which amounts to R1700.00 per month have never missed one cent!!!!
Why can’t you give us the same respect that you force upon is!
There’s no other option!!! MNP is not a option and never will be!!! I am using 3G only on the MTN network!!! So if I want to go to VC I can go, I don’t care about the number! Why doesn’t your service work like you advertise and claim!!! But I have about 13 months left with you on my contract!!! Yippeeeeee!
I cannot tell you how irritated I am to always first have to complain! I need my internet fast and on when I want it! It’s part of my work and to spin my customers a sh@t story that I’m having trouble with my 3G is BS!!!
O yes by the way… This post was posted on my VC sim in a MTN 3G/HSDPA card because MTN’s service is down in Raslouw in Centurion, but luckily Vodacom’s works!!!!
If we don’t use the service me must still pay… If we cant use the service we must still pay… Basically all we must do is pay and be satisfied with the so called *best effort* service!!!
