So I have just been told by MTN that if I migrate my contract to Prepaid I can never ever move it back to contract, surely this is uncompetitive behaviour?

That is a lie, I was on prepaid and when they introduced Esim on contracts only I migrated my sim from prepaid to contract.

They are saying because it is a contract already, you can't go to prepaid and then at some point back to contract

I have just had one of there people on Facebook confirm that I cannot upgrade to a contract I have to reapply with the same number. The call centre delibrately misled me to stop me from changing

What they're saying it once you go prepaid you can't just phone them to upgrade to contract. You will have to go through the contract application, credit vetting process etc again. Some also have a cooldown period where you can't go contract-prepaid-contract more than X times in a number of months/years.

Now this makes perfect sense. You contribution here is highly valued Neo.

That cant be. If it is true, it is messed up. With Vodacom you can go back and forth. There used to be a rule though with Vodacom that if you move to prepaid, you have to wait about 4 - 6 months before you can go back to contract. Also, if you only had one number on your account and you move it to prepaid, you will have to go through the entire credit vetting process again.
