MTN E620: 100% CPU utilisation

Can someone please assist: I am using a MTN E620 data card with WinXP - on a AMD desktop. Whenever I start the Fastlink application, the CPU usage shoots up to 100% until I close the application again. When using the same card in notebook, it works perfectly. Please help...

You could always try using the E620tool instead.

Still 100% CPU

I have tried the E620 tool - same effect. As soon as the program starts interacting with the card, the CPU usage go to 100%. Similar thing happened on another notebook - on certain ones the card works normal.

What make of PCMCIA to PCI adapter card do you have?

Firmware up to date

Not too sure what kind of PCMCIA-PCI card it is - according to device manager it is Ricoh R/RL/RT/RC/5C475(II), R5C520 or Compatible Cardbus Controller. Firmware is up to date (11.18.02.60.00). The card gave similar problem in another notebook as well.
