Hi how do I add an esim to my Apple Watch if I have an existing MTN cell contract?

The MTN website is unclear - seems like I have to take out a new contract? The Mtn call centre send me a QR code and told me to scan it with my watch (Apple Watch doesn’t have a camera so can’t scan the QR code. one agent also told me there is no additional cost involved, I phoned back and another told me they don’t know. So don’t really want to speak to an MTN champion (that’s what they call themselves ), they seem clueless.

or is there a real MTN rep or representative on this forum that can help.

thanks

I also want to know.

I have cellC esim and Telkom contract.

I cannot explain in words how frustrating the lack of IT infrastructure in thia country is, especially the networks.

Why on earth can the esim work in my phone but not my watch if both uses esim other than cell c and Telkom being greedy.

Why must I have a mtn contract why can it not be prepaid?

Have you tried following the prompts in the Watch app, under ‘Mobile Data’? You should be directed to an MTN portal from there where you login with your MTN account username and password and proceed with setup from there.

You don’t need an additional contract, but it does cost R25 per month extra on your existing contract.
