MTN extreme SMS charge

The other day I sent an sms to my friend in Switzerland, generally an sms to anywhere in the world including Switzerland costs R1.40 but I just had a look on MTN active and I was charged R21.93 for that one single sms message which wasn't even 100 characters, there must be some sort of bug on their system.

Today I'm going to attempt to call the 808 number and speak to a highly educated an trained MTN employee, it will be a fun conversation. Does anybody else have any other suggestions or has anybody else experienced the same before ?

It doesn't sound right but there could be other factors. Best to make sure what happened before you complain
