I am currently using a MTN Fastlink E620 datacard with a 128K VirginMobile simcard.
From to time the following datacard error pops up while browsing the web:

Cannot load dialog
Error 623
The system could not find the phone book entry for this connection.

When this error message pops up it disconnects me from the Internet. I do not have the slightest what that message means.

Any person here who could help me with this error, will be appreciated.

solution

Hmmm

Don't worry guys.
I figure it out myself  and it seems to me to problem is solved.
- touch wood - :p

For others who suffers from this error try:

Open Internet Explorer, then go to "tools/options/connections" and select Never dial a connection.

Good luck! :D

Hi

I need to acquire a data card that supports CSD fax. In essence I need to able to fax to a PSTN / Telkom fax machine using software such as WinFax from my laptop.

Could anyone indicate whether the FastLink E620 supports this?

I've tried a couple of cards that supposedly support fax class 1 (AT+FCLASS=1) but couldn't get them to dispatch faxes successfully. No problem with my SIM or the network as it works from both my Siemens TC35 terminal and an old Samsung E800 (both obviously supporting CSD fax).

Any recommendations welcome please.

Thanks in advance
