MTN Firewall rule for port 2000

Hi,

I would like to know if MTN firewall only lets certain traffic thru port 2000? I know usually VOIP uses port 2000, but I'm trying to connect to a server via telnet on port 2000 and are getting no response back. When I connect to the same server on port 2001, I get the correct response back though.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Where'd you hear port 2000 is mainly used for VOIP?

Sounds like your telnet server is not listening on port 2000.
AFAIK mtn do not do any special port shaping to prevent what you are trying to achieve.
