Is it just me or is MTN really pushing fixed LTE-A in SA. They probably see an opportunity to grab market share as ADSL dies a very slow death in SA. Seems like everyday there is a new ISP providing MTN Fixed LTE. Cellc drop their fixed LTE saying it did not provide any returns and MTN is pushing LTE-A.

Latest ISP to join the race was Mweb with some decent sim only pricing.

I now see MeandYou mobile also has MTN Fixed LTE simcards now.

It seems Mweb is offering a 200 + 200 G package. Why isn't Afrihost doing the same? I would take that, as I am currently having endless issues with Rain

Only issue is that initially they dont tell you that you have to use a specific router. They have only certified around 4 routers that will work on these sim cards. Put the card into any other router and after 24 hours its banned from the network. Basically blacklisted!

Yeah, MTN are pushing LTE-A, they have a number of articles, or is it a repeat article, about going to fibre, but LTE-A, get a punt in there as well. There is no fiber in sight here, and there is no LTE-A, equivalent package at a anywhere near a sane price point for uncapped 10/20mbps ADSL.
