Ok so i am with Axxess, been with them for a wile and was on Telkom LTE, but i had some problems with the line and was told by axxess the problem must be on my side because all is good on their side, long story short saved up and bought a new modem (which took a wile because i am on disability sassa) so ya, even after the new modem the problem still persisted. Eventually after maybe a year, i got the Telkom tech here and he tested everything just to find that the cell tower is not broadcasting to me, i am i a blind spot,

So i desided to go with MTN Fixed LTE, i have a ZTE 286 and will connect the new router Cudy LT500 to it and work from there, so i received the sim, put in the Cudy just to see, and it was working perfect, well for about 30min, and they kicked me of the network (which i expected) but for it to work so nice was a bit of a surprise.

Put the sim in the ZTE, nothing, contact Axxess and they tell me it is incompatible, i must buy a new modem, but i got a new modem because you did not believe me the time i told you the problem is not with me WTF do you think, money just grow, I am on sassa i will take me at least 6 months to save for the cheapest compatible modem, this is border line discriminating, just because i cant afford a fancy modem i can not have nice internet

Telkom is a no go
Vodacom wants a contract
MTN (well ya)
no fibre here in the gobs

Cell C Prepaid Home Connects Flexi - 50+50GB for R209 (14 day expiry). You can extend the expiry date for as long as you like if you roll it over 5 days before the bundle is due to expire. Should work on any router or cell phone and you can transfer 1GB per month to another Cell C SIM card if necessary.

You can test out the service if you RICA a Cell C SIM card and purchase a small bundle before spending R209.

We're sincerely sorry to hear about the experience you've had with our services.

We can confirm that the ZTE MF286R router model is compatible with our MTN LTE service, and you should be able to use it without any problems. The fact that you were able to connect successfully with your Cudy router indicates that the APN settings are correct and not the source of the issue.

To help us investigate further, please send us your Axxess account number in a direct message. Once we have that, we will escalate your case to a senior technical member of our staff who will take ownership of your issue and work with you to find a resolution.

Thank you for your patience.

Guys I need some help please, as most know I am in a wheelchair and on sassa so money is not on my side
Captain Axxess is trying to help me but it looks like the ZTE 286 is not working, it works for about a hour and then the network boots me.
I have an online job lined up but I need a good stable Internet, hence moving from Telkom to MTN, I don't have fibre option.
Is there anyone that can help me with a secondhand router that can work on the MTN network, please this job is slipping away from me

How does the rollover work? Do you need to load airtime or buy another bundle?

No, you just need to select the bundle and confirm the new expiry date <= 5 days before the bundle is going to expire.

You can either do this via the app which is the simplest method or you can use the USSD menu and search for Bundle Rollover. If you don't confirm a new rollover date you will lose any unused data on the current expiry date.

To access bundle rollover from the USSD menu, enter *147# and choose Option 7, My Account followed by Option 5, Data Usage & Rollover. I think you can only purchase the 50+50GB bundle from the USSD menu of an HCF configured SIM - *147# Option 1, Buy followed by Option 2, Data Only and Option 3, 100GB @R209 (14 day).

On the flip side, I was with Mtn fixed Lte via Axxess but had many issues with connectivity/speed etc. Moved to Telkom Lte and it's much better.
