Hi,

I don't know if anybody else has the same problem.

Over the past few days I found the MTN GPRS (EDGE) Network very unreliable. I am able to connect. Then I have the capability to browse to a few sites.

After that I get timeouts trying to connect to web sites.

I have to disconnect an reconnect to carry on.

This is very frustrating.

MTNSP BB, can you please help !!!

PS: I am using my Voda GPRS backup to post this query. ;)

No problems here, was connected:
23 hours on 23rd
19 hours on 22nd
14 hours on 21st
23 hours on 20th
14 housr on 19th
Disconnection only occured because of scheduled restart of the computer, or user request.

I have this problem from time to time. Other times, I'm online for hours at a time.

From rudimentary command line investigation, it seems to be something to do with their DNS servers...

I recall Vodacom having a similar problem as their network usage grew - seems to have been stable for a while now so maybe one day MTN will get over their teething hassles also.
