Hi. I have been testing MTN's LTE for just over a week and getting on average around 80 to 100mbps download speeds.
However, I noticed this morning and the download speeds have decreased drastically to around 1 to 5mbps. I have checked again this evening and there has not been any change. It took a while just to open this website. I have reported the matter to MTN but have not yet received a response.
Anyone else in the Pietermaritzburg area experiencing this issue with MTN?
At present the connection is so bad that Speedtest.net cannot find a server automatically and the Myboardband speed test site reflects a ping of over 350ms with a download speed of 0mbps. I have tried different LTE modems and cellphones and checked the apn settings.
Any suggestions or settings that I can try?
