Why am I getting marketing spam messages on my Afrihost sim from MTN when all my marketing and settings are set to no contact? all my marketing, digital services and mobile financial services are all set to NO and still I am getting this spam. I don't even use this sim for anything but data. I dont need a Fcking pick me up. Please get it changed or is your consent spam system "broke again" as it was in 2020

Please note that you can stop the marketing SMSEs by dialling *135# and following the prompts below.

Dial *135#
Select Consent Management
There will be categories that will be listed that you can opt out of.
Select Marketing
Your current setting will be listed
Select one of the types of marketing messages and toggle your consent setting to “No”.

Repeat the steps above for each of the marketing message types.

You also need to download the MTN app and check the settings under "Manage Consent"

Same has been happening to me, been getting spammed 3 or 4 times a day on both Afrihost SIM and my normal main MTN SIM... All consents are on NO

Did this, all my consent is set to NO. And here we still are

Same here, all consent has been and remain on NO. Still, MTN spams with these SMSs. Get a grip MTN, this is illegal. There is no Opt-Out.
