Hi

I have sopken to the call centre as well as techincal and no one seems able to help me.

I received an iphone 4 on friday everything is fine except for MMS. OTA does not work and I got a message that said I should set the APN manually. However there is no place where I can enter an addtional APN.

on speaking to the call centre and the technical support guys I was told to go to
Settings->General->Network->Cellular Data Network->
Under the MMS section I should add/modify the APN details

When I do go to Settings->General->Network->Cellular Data Network->
However once I get there there is no MMS section available nor can I add addtional APNs. There is only one APN under the cellular data section named mymtn

I am on the latest version of IOS and I have ensured that all carrier updates are applied.

iphone software version 4.2.1 8C148
Carrier version: MTN 9.1
Itunes version 10.1.1

HELP!

HELP!

Just plug your phone into your pc after installing the latest version of iTunes and it will ask you to update the carrier settings and you just say yes.

And all your problems are solved.

I've done that and still no joy.
itunes version 10.1.1

sorted. it helps to know ppl :) I spoke to some friends who conventiently work for MTN in the messaging section. It seems that there was a bunch of phones from Apple whose IMEI numbers were not loaded onto the system by MTN. They loaded the numbers this morning. All I had to do was *123*12#. I got a message to manually set up. They told me to ignore the message. MMS then started working.

what a ball ache.
