Good day

I'm retarded, so sorry.

How do I upload mobile data for MTN on a S3?

I'm on a top up package thing.

PS: Don"t swear at me, thank you.

If you want to buy data bundles then just type:

*141*2#

and select the appropriate options.

Edit: you cannot convert package airtime to data.

You buy the airtime, rand value, like at checkers. Then you follow the instructions on the till slip and load airtime. Then you use that 141 menu (or whatever it is) to buy a data bundle from your nice shiny new rand value of airtime.

Edit: the blue eyed kitty gave you the menu bit...

You know whats *****. I have over R1000 airtime, with the top up.

But i cant use it to buy Data?

Whats up with that?

There is a work around for that. Buy a 2GB data package at R245, it's valid for 60 days. After the 2GB is depleted data will be charged at 19c p/mb and will be deducted from your airtime.

wouldn't you just be charged at whatever rate out of your airtime regardless of wether you get a bundle first or not? I'm asking, as I'm also on a top-up contract but I've never depleted the included data bundle so I don't know if data usage would eat into the leftover airtime value or not.

If you don't have a bundle loaded you will be charged R2 p/mb (was correct the last time I checked)

However, by loading a data bundle first your out of bundle rate will be considerably less, depending on which bundle you purchased. Take note that the out of bundle price is only valid for the duration of the bundle purchased.

I have been using this method for a couple of years to use up contract airtime.
