MTN & New SIM not working

Hi
I put a new SIM in my Motorola V360 phone last night as I want to switch from Virgin (useless in Magalies area). Have loaded up airtime, taken out a R189 500Mb bundle, made a payable call for a minute and now I cannot connect (to the internet, voice calls fine). If I dial *141# all my data bundles and remaining airtime money reflects correctly. I activated the SIM last night by dialing 141 (besides it has taken in a payment so the number must be active). My phone is already set up with the MTN settings, if I take the MTN SIM out of my office cell phone and put it in, the Motorola works fine. The new SIM shows 5 bar of strength but does not show EDGE (little E icon on this phone), whereas my office cell phone and my friends phone do (all in the same spot in the room). Of course when you speak to MTN its like communicated with drunk sheep. All they bleat on about is the WAP/GPRS settings, which is already fine on my phone, why else would another MTN SIM work?!!! Does anyone have any ideas? Otherwise I have blown R200!
