MTN/note 8 got data & connection but can't browse?

3G shows in top corner, connected to MTN network, 1.99G data available but note 8 won't connect to internet.

My 10.1 tab and S2 connect no problem so it's not a congestion issue. I've downloaded and re-installed config files:

application: MTN data (browser)
URL: HTTP://mtnplay.co.za
APN:myMTN
Proxy: no data
Port: no data

?........... then a couple of bookmarks.

Also:

?......... any ideas on what's wrong. I shudder at the thought of phoning 808.

BTW it's a prepaid SIM with data and calls. The phone works. Bought the SIM 3 days ago.
