The new onerate deal on prepaid where you pay R1.86 per minute (which is per second from the 1st second) has forced me to now carry a 2nd handset. I'm on Anytime 50 topup and when I've used up my allocated R50, I will pay R2.85 per minute if I continue to use my topup phone.
So if I then switch to the prepaid phone for outgoing calls I will save nearly R1.00 per minute.

Surely this can't be right? When will contract and topup rates drop?
(Already the in bundle rate on topup is almost 50c per minute more expensive...)

MTN ZONE is much better. It works on topup contracts. *141*4# to activate it. During peak times you might pay rate which is high but off peak you score with free mtn to mtn call's and sms and massive discounts.

Ja, I am more interested in peak times. To get the same peak rate on MTN zone as One rate the discount to all networks must be a constant 38% on MTN Zone. That occurs not very often on MTN Zone
