MTN is advertising the Samsung OMNIA on their website for R500 p/m on AnyTime 500. Yet this offer is not available if you actually contact them - they insist that the Samsung OMNIA is R579 on AnyTime 500.
So I contacted them about the website.
...and nothing is happening - the website still advertise the OMNIA for R500 p/m on AnyTime 500. (Go to mtn.co.za and click on Special Offers).
So I have a question - are they breaking the law by listing a price on their website that they don't in reality offer? Especially after being made aware of it?
If I have to guess then somebody is incompetent, but being one of the largest ICT firms in South Africa, having an outdated website classify as organizational incompetence. Especially if you were notified of the problem.
But in general - I have a feeling that MTN promotes packages that they can't deliver. On my previous upgrade they also advertised packages (in print) that were not really available.
