I am considering this as an option, however, the location where the number is used doesn't have a fibre connection, and the best option after that is Fixed LTE.PS: You could probably port your number to a VOIP service as well ... but who knows ...
Now I'd rather want to make use of VoLTE than VoIP over LTE as VoLTE already has got builtin QoS for those packets transversing the LTE (Data) network
If you using that telkom phone, get the more expensive one.Curious is anyone has been able port in their Telkom landline number to MTN?
Currently had to "port" Telkom landline number from copper to Telkom Simcard, and the service is even worse now.
So the exact issue at the moment is that Telkom doesn't offer VoLTE on the sim card provided. So this means that the sim is on their 4G network, but has to switch to 3G in order to receive the call. During this switching process, something goes wrong, and the handset doesn't ring, yet the incoming call on the other end hears the normal ring ring thinking the phone is ringing, when it actually doesn't.If you using that telkom phone, get the more expensive one.
Typing out ONE message annually on the forum ... and making it count!Try calling telkom on 10210 or 180 and ask them to provision your simcard with volte.
