MTN , prepaid data bundles problems.

If I dial 141 , I want to purchase a data bundle on a prepaid sim , it tells me of a technical error that will be resolved within an hour , its been 1 week and still that message is on , how pray tell am I supposed to load up a data bundle now ?
 
hmmm, so it's not just me - been getting the same thing since last weekend...
 
Its their clever way of making you pay the most they can charge over the festive season when you will use it a lot.
 
They keep phoning me to say that they are looking at the problem as if it is only my cellphone and I know that the problem is not only with prepaid, but with contract phones as well. We will have to stay out of bundle untill the guys that know get back from leave.
 
I'm having the same problem. Can't access my account information, therefore cannot load DATA bundles. There may be a way, as sean12 explained, to top-up your number but still no way to load DATA which to me is the important factor here. This thread's been here for 2 days already and still no word from the MTN reps. Come guys what's happening? :sick: :o

prepaid data bundle

Hi guys i read this thread a whiles back and I thought mtn would come right by itself.

But I have been trying for 2 weeks to load a data bundle through the IVR , 141 and 555 and when the options are listed there is no 2 or 3 (data bundle)
I just her 1 and 4 ...

I have phoned MTN support on numerous occasions they either tell me there is a problem on the network which will be fixed soon, or they will do a "reset" for me. and still I never get to choose data bundle.

I'm really pEEd off as i'm paying so much more for my bandwidth thanks to the menu option dissapearing!@!#!

We checked everything and now I see the sub did his last bundle on 16 December. Are you aware of our business rules in terms of only being able to load 1 bundle per month?
