MTN PTT (Push to Talk)

Eventually it has arrived ....

I have noticed on myASDL website and the MTN website that they are advertising the MTN PTT (Push 2 Talk) services and packages, Corporate Customers "nog al".

What puzzles me in my option, is why not get consumers "hooked" into this technoology and then it will filter through to business. I would say that most companies would not be really phased about rushing and getting these services, they are already payment for staff to phone each other.

Where as a family of 4, YES most kids have cellphone, would love this in a Mall shopping on Sunday, everyone can do their thing and when it is time to round up the troops, give them a PTT call.

Anyway lets see what the market dictates ...

Anyone know what the price is like these days?

Why is there not some way to implement a 3rd part PTT server which we could connect to?
Instead of using their settings, we could put in our own server and use it for free + data charges?

Cheers
