MTN Question

Is it possible for me to take a contract for 48 months on MTN (yeah i know i'll be locked down for 48 months and that the normal 24 months contract still continues after it has finished). And if so will the monthly subscription drop. Apparently the new MTN specials are coming out tomorrow and I would really like to get the 5800XM but its still a bit expensive.
