I got my 2GB Special with the Galaxy Tab in December. They activated the line and told me once its activated I can use my 2GB Bundle. Well I now get a bill for Data used as it was a pro-rata bundle not the full 2GB. But the most confusing thing is, I am told that from the 23rd of December till the end of December was Pro-Rata then from the 1st till the 10th was again pro-rata and my billing cycle is from the 11th every month. So confusing and frustrating. Now I log onto MTN to check my Data and I have 49MB (Should I not have 2GB if my billing cycle is the 10th?????????)

How am I suppose to know when and how much data I have if MTN systems and call centre staff dont understand themselves (I was told yesterday that 2GB has been loaded but according to the site and my *141* I have 49MB)

Damn, and Im stuck for two years with MTN....

Just get ADSL. If you can't, move to a area where ADSL is supported. Just don't spend a lot of money on MTN 3G internet bundles. MTN is one of the worst ISPS in the history of mankind.

It's standard operating procedure for MTN. That's why I never buy contract data bundles from them anymore. When i first started using data bundles, they did the same thing on both my contracts. For 3 months (on each contract) they would load the data bundle, but ALL usage would be taken as out of bundle. At the end of the month, I would be left with a huge bill and an unused data bundle. After several months of being told "our accounts department is looking into it, but they have a huge backlog", I gave up and switched to using other provider's prepaid bundles. Nowadays MTN is mainly voice only for me.

Never had an incline to purchase data bundles or data contracts from MNOs. Prefer ADSL. Have an uncapped account with no issues whatsoever, and the pricing is far better than the MNOs.
