MTN settings

I see that the APN is not MTN related on my phone, how do I change this?
What are the settings?

Next time be clear & give ALL the relevant info in the OP. If you have setup BIS *141*11# (prepaid mtn) if you on BIS it will reflect 3G or EDGE if not on BIS it will show 3g oir edge that's how you know whether BIS is being used. I trust you are using a BB or did you neglect to give us that info also?

So now it only says "GSM".
I am using a blackberry bold 9700, MTN contract with BIS enabled on the system.
Is there a username and password?

Blackberry uses the Blackberry APN. It is not tied to MTN or Vodacom.

Change you APN back or else you will be paying out of bundle rates for all the data you use.

Change it to blackberry.net or leave it blank.

Thanx for the info bex.cpt was kinda looking for this info, now that it's confirmed I'm happy and more confident using my BB now.

Best way to check if you are on BIS visit www.whatismyip.com if you see BIS ip you know you on BIS - best way to know for sure you are using BIS
