Please be aware if you get a call from the "MTN Fraud Department"
This is the number "Mr.Williams" calls from.
The number is 063 857 9096
Let's keep his number busy so he can't catch unsuspecting people.
He was very close to catching my daughter for over R20,000 worth of data

How does once scam someone for data?

"Mr.Williams" who said he is from the MTN Fraud Department tried to do a sim swap by giving my daughter a pin number to put on her phone.
She unfortunately was not thinking and used the number.

She was then billed for over R20,000 by MTN but thanks to a contact at MTN it was blocked and the billing and data was reversed
MTN said it is and inside job.

How they actually work I really can't say.I wish I could give you more info.
This is the second time this "Mr.Williams" has tried it with her but she played along with him.
You also cannot get through to the MTN Fraud Department on a weekend or this evening when she tried to report it.
