Mtn Smartphone Lite Bundle Issues

I purchased one of these for R29 loaded on an Iphone 5s. The problem I'm having is that they keep deducting my airtime balance instead of my data balance. I'm using opera mini and bbm only with this bundle. Got the opera mini app from m.opera.com which redirects to the appstore. Apn settings set to internet and others left blank.

Am I missing something?
