This morning at 10am,my blackberry says SOS on MTN network,now I know its not a signal issue cause the tech i have here is also on MTN and has signal,is there a number that I can phone to find out whats going on,tried 808 and doesn't go through

We also experience the same problem here in Gauteng :-( so frustrating. I have messages that our system must send and it does not work.
It seems to go out to other networks but to sms a MNT user does not work. Also incoming seems to have a problem.

Lets hope they sort it out quickly.
I guess if you want to call the Call Centre they can give you an answer. The number is 808

Same problem in Stellenbosch at 11:00. No idea what the problem is. Aaargghh!
 
Im in PE, have similar issues, no GSM or datasignal....

Hi Guys.

Same here in cape town.
went to MTN store, and they said, there is some sort of problem, but its only affecting certain MTN numbers.
i have 2 phones, one works fine, while the other says SOS, both are MTN numbers.
 
I'm also down - SOS only. My co-workers in the office sitting next to me are all fine with their Blackberry phones, and they are also MTN... So I guess we (the poor random suckers with the problem) just have to wait patiently and hope that MTN sort it out. Call me negative, but I get that "feeling" that phoning them isn't going to make any difference...

PLEASE MR SERVICE PROVIDER, PLEASE PROVIDE SERVICE! KKTNXBYE
 
Hey - my post worked! I just came online and connecting on Edge and my messages came through... Let's hope it's sorted now.
