last week they told me that the iPhone 4 8GB R200 airtime, 300MB X 6 months = 279. They we also puzzled. I gave them a few days to double check. That doesn't seem like a bad option

So little data

Like... 10-15 youtube movies and its finito :\
CellC Gives 500MB away for mahala if you just recharge with airtime on your prepaid account

Was paying R436 pm for MTN AnyTime 350 TopUp + BIS
Went for the R459 pm Bold
BlackBerry Bold 9900 R459pm x24 MTN AnyTime 350 R350 Airtime 50 SMS incl BIS

1st they said couldn't get the Blackberry or iPhone on TopUp, but the MTN System approved it :p

:( 10MB on a GS2. What's the point?

R200 worth of airtime though. That can go to a reasonable amount of data?

Edit - Ah right, the contract with R200 added = R500

I agree with you that they might as well not have bothered with the 10MB. It's pretty much useless on a phone like the SII.

Where does the R500 come from?

Anyway, its way better than any of the Vodacom or other provider deals where you get no data at all

OP said in his first post that he wants to spend around R400 per month. If you look at the SII deal, it's R299 on MTN's site for the phone, the dock, 200 minutes, 25 sms, 10mb data. OP then added R200 airtime into the description(which I didn't notice initially either), which does NOT come on the standard contract, presumably for more data or something, bringing the total monthly cost to R499.

No, you don't get 200 minutes, you get R200 airtime and 25sms and 10mb.

http://www.mtnsp.co.za/shop/MTNDirect/Pages/PromotionDetails.aspx?PID=610 , see where they say "Estimated Inclusive Minutes* 86"?

If i took this deal:

Samsung Galaxy S II i9100
R299pm x24 on MTN AnyTime 200
Incl R200 Airtime 25 SMS 10MB Data + Car Cradle

As Messugga said I could add an Additional R200 Airtime, if it was the "AnyTime TopUp" Contract.
Normal Anytime Contract doesn't allow this..
Also the "TopUp" is "capped" where as the normal "AnyTime" is an "OPEN" Contract as the MTN Lady said which means that should you use more than the R200 Airtime, 25 SMS and 10MB Data Bundle ...
The Extra cost will be added to your monthly bill..
Another option
If need more data on MTN 1-4- Loyalty (*141*9*0#) i have 1573 Loyalty Points..
Spending them Points (*141*9*2#) ...
01 10MB 350 Points
02 75MB 1700 Points
03 24HR 1700 Points
04 300MB 5200 Points
05 500MB 6600 Points
06 1000MB 10100 Points
07 2000MB 13600 Points

So is one able to get this on the Anytime Topup 200? Cause I was looking at getting this deal.

I'm waiting for the Nexus S. Anyone know when MTN may have stock?

Best would be to ask MTN Direct, MTN SP Retail stores have no clue..

Got Great Service from MTN Brooklyn, one near the restaurants.

Waiting for Xperia ARC S hehe
