So my contract is overdue for upgrade, and i find myself asking whether i must stay with mtn or switch over. Don't really need a new phone cos im fond of my navigator 6110 and got an N97 from graaf.

Was browsing the MTNSP site and came across this -

Not sure, but i think it is the same promo that Italk was running few months back. LCD TV looks the same. Anyone know anything more about the model or can suggest if its worth it to stay with MTN for this promo ?
 
You're paying R7200 over the two years for the TV and phone.
 
True, but seems that LCD retail for about 9k. Phone is the C503, but will most prob get rid of it cos i aint going to use it. Any idea if this is the same Hisens that Italk promo'd a while back ? If so, then might reconsider if its old stock :O
 
actually, good q. Site does not mention, but the Hisense promo was not listed last week. Will call 'em lil later and check. Also wonder if this is only a new contract promo or upgrade promo
 
If you're keen on the LCD then I suppose this isn't a bad option. Another option is renew your contract at Game / Makro / Dions - they hand out pretty sizeable vouchers depending on the contract/phone package.
 
Just spent 30 mins with them holding. The ous says that he firstly wants to confirm that the promo is running cos he never heard of it :). Spoke to Trevor in rententions and says that its avail for new contracts and upgrades will be avail from next week hopefully.
Promo runs till end Jan '10 or while stocks lasts. They will give a voucher which we can use at HIFI for the LCD - which i'm assuming is

Seems like a nice deal. Oh, and is currently advertised on MTN AT 100 @ 399 and MTN AT 200 @ 459 per month - which dont look that bad.

Any thoughts guys ?
