I don't usually watch local soccer (i'm a man u fan, hate me i don't care)but i was quite impressed by the match earlier when i joined for the 2nd half.

Since i'm a kapie, no surprises who i rooted for between Ajax CT and Chiefs. What impressed me was the ajax players' strong running on the ball and passing game, especially those thru balls. Chiefs on the other hand had some great dipping crosses into ajax's box keeping ajax's 'keeper wondering if he should leave his line or come out, and on the whole both teams utilised those "unlock-the-defence" passes and crosses reminiscent of ***a and deco which worked to good effect for an entertaining spectacle.

Either way i'm looking forward to more matches (ajax vs santos derby this week), and if things progress this way we might just have a strong team for next year's WC

EDIT: *** is K a k a, LOL!

Well South africa is most unattractive because the picthes mostly are nothing short of shocking. You cannot play a nice flowing game on a pitch that looks made for a rugby game and not soccer game.
Today was flippin insane.

2 of the most attacking teams go head to head. Golder Arrows FTW. Either golder arrows are going to win 2-3 or will be drubbed 3 nil. They only know attack attack and more attack.

Cannot wait!!!!!!!!!!

Killadoob I dunno what you just said, most of your post just confused me! :p

Anyway, am assuming you're complimenting the attractive football shown today due mostly to it being played in a 100% football stadium? If that's what you mean then I have to agree. What was even more impressive was the quality of the pitch in winter nogal...in Soweto of all places. I drove past the stadium just before the game and it was refreshing to see people walking to a stadium from their homes...unlike having to search for parking like at most of the rugby stadiums in SA.

As a Chiefs supporter I didn't mind losing today as it at least showed we can score goals. Should be a cracking PSL this year...especially with everyone playing 2 games every week in order to allow enough time for 2010 preparation.

Yes sorry i should not post while intoxicated.

Yes if you looked at the pitch for instance golden arrows played on then you will see what i mean, it was a shocking pitch. My point was SA soccer does not suck as bad as people think but it is not easy to play good football on a broken bumpy dry pitch.

SA soccer is very good in my opinion but sadly we do not have the money to relay pitches when they get destroyed, also a lot of teams have no home ground at the moment either. Like golden arrows and amazulu plaedy their home and away game on the same pitch :D, was not really a home game for either.

Anyways cannot wait for arrows vs ajax, going to be an epic game i reckon. Got a feeling this may be arrows year for a title as chiefs, pirates and supersport not looking all that good. Hope arrows win it and i am sure they will.
