Mira Network & Morvec: reading post of 2005 today I was shocked at how long this is going on
http://mybroadband.co.za/vb/showthr...-used-to-deduct-money-from-random-cell-phones, I discovered today that I am subscribed to this service again. I contacted MTN, who told me that they cancelled this subscription on my behalf on the 2 Dec 2012, I apparently contacted them in this regard, this was to my surprise as I did not. Further investigating led me to Mira Networks Call Centre, and the subscription company is Morvec. to my surprise they still had me as subscribed. I decided to check further to see if I has received any SMS as I never use my cell for internet. the consultant said I had subscribed on the 21 October 2012, but I had not even received an SMS on that day. Currently I have to wait 2 days for Mira networks to come back to me. On a similar note, this happened last year, an MTN consultant contacted me and claimed that I was not RICA, to switch off my phone for an hour and I will be reactivated on their system. None of my info was passed on to the consultant, he had all my details, knew my name & surname etc. Anyway, the following day my phone could not make or receive calls, I had to contact MTN call centre, I was told that I had done a SIM Swop the previous day, but to do a SIm Swop you have to go into an MTN shop? I explained and was reconnected a day later when I had to contact them again. a few weeks later I discovered my FNB Bank account had been cleared of all the funds via Cell Phone Banking which I did not register for, but the thieves did. So far not MTN or FNB are taking responsibility for the theft. Banks and Cell Network providers seems to stoop to theft for their margins to grow. A bunch of thieves, banks security sucks, we all ask the right queston, how is it possible, they don't have an answer and did not respond to my query till now. What do you think, are we being taken for a ride by these companies and allowing our money to be stolen without proper answer?
