A unique MTN service that lets you share airtime with friends and family.
As an MTN contract or Pay as you Go customer, you can transfer airtime to MTN Pay as you Go and MyChoice TopUp customers.
Transferring airtime
Pay as you Go users
There’s no need to register.
Dial 555 and follow the voice prompts, or dial *141*6328*(recipient's cellphone number)*(rand amount)#:
* There’s a maximum monthly transfer limit of R500.
* Transfer a minimum of R30 at any one time.
* The amount you transfer is deducted from your airtime balance.
* Each transaction costs 86c, paid for by the person making the transfer.
Contract customers
First, register with us.
Dial 555 and follow the voice prompts, or dial *141*6328*(recipient's cellphone number)*(rand amount)#:
* Your maximum monthly transfer limit is determined by us.
* Transfer a minimum of R30 at any one time.
* The amount you transfer is charged to your monthly account and not deducted from your free airtime.
* Each transaction costs 86c, paid for by the person making the transfer.
Beneficiaries
You can link up to 5 Pay as you Go or MyChoice Top Up numbers as beneficiaries to your number. Once you have linked beneficiaries to your number you need only to select the beneficiary account instead of having to enter the number every time you wish to transfer airtime.
Please call 555 to set up beneficiaries.
Requesting airtime
As a Pay as you Go or MyChoice TopUp customer you can send one free airtime request per day to your airtime sponsor. Dial *141*6328*(your sponsor’s MTN cellphone number)#.
Exceptions
Unfortunately, there are a few exceptions to every rule. In this case, Me2U cannot be used for SMS Only, Telemetry , Community Payphones, and COAL Link numbers.
